Pickling Juice (WIP) Recipe

Good for pickling 1/2 lb of fruits/veggies
Ingredients
- 2 herbs optional (lavender, sage, thyme, cinnamon, vanilla bean, etc)
- 5 whole black peppercorns optional
- 1 cup vinegar
- 1 cup water
- 1/4 cup sugar optional
- 1 tsp kosher salt optional (pure salt, not iodine or other chemicals)
Instructions
- Place whatever vegetable or fruit you are pickling in a glass jar with a lid, along with additional flavors
- Put the vinegar, water and optional ingredients in a small saucepan, bring to a boil, and boil for 1 minute. Remove from the heat, pour over your vegetables or fruits in the glass jar, and let cool to room temperature. Cover and refrigerate .Your pickled vegetable or fruit will be ready to eat in 48 hours. Keeps in the refrigerator for three to four weeks.
